The Purpose Journey Academy is a nonprofit located in northern Mississippi. Our vision is to become one of the top youth and community development centers in the state of Mississippi and across the nation.

We believe in giving back to the community and that it is part of our responsibility to help prepare the next generation.

Our mission is to assist the youth and young adults in their professional development through programs that support their unique talents and strengths.

We create safe spaces for young people to discover their purpose, receive support and mentorship on their journey, and explore career opportunities, gain skills and and expand their talent.

Our Programs

This exciting one-week summer camp offers a variety of outdoor and indoor sport and recreational activities in a friendly, safe and inclusive environment.

We hope to provide each child with age-appropriate instruction, education, and activity opportunities to grow intellectually, socially, emotionally, spiritually, and physically.

Mastermind Camp

Our goal is to help students understand their talents and have a safe space to expand their knowledge and receive tutoring and support. We will have after school programming available in the fall of 2024.

After School Program

We will offer special events and programming for the community by offering different workshops related to career discovery, skills and talent development, leadership and team development.

Jessica has spent over a decade of working with youth and college age students. She's passionate about giving back and serving her community and building up the youth. Her background is in Student Development, Higher Education Administration, Team and Leadership Development.

Georgette comes to us with a background in Early Childhood Education, Parent Development, Homemaker, Postpartum Services and Higher Education Administration. She has experience in Higher Education, Recreational Services and is earning her Doctorate in Early Childhood Education.

Derrick is talented in a lot of areas and helps out in many roles. He'll primary make sure the goals and activities are executed properly and oversee the our internship program.
